My designs combine the use of traditional materials and imaginative planting to give a contemporary edge, and yet a timeless feel to the garden.  My aim as a designer is to reflect the tastes and wishes of my clients to create a garden that fits naturally with their property and its surroundings.

 

Most of my commissions are for country gardens large and small, for a part of or the whole estate.  My masterplans are often implemented over several years, allowing the garden to grow, develop and evolve in harmony with the needs of its owners.

 

I am a registered member of the Society of Garden Designers, offering a range of services from advice on specific issues to detailed design and implementation oversight.  My larger projects have included lakes, swimming pools and tennis courts.  Many have required the design, construction and planting of ponds, driveways and entrances, terraces and pathways. My planting plans have covered borders, boundaries and areas of woodland.

 

I came to garden design from a background of antiques and interiors – starting my business in Hampshire in 1998.  Since 2009, I have been based in Burford, Oxfordshire specialising in country and village properties.
