The magnificent architecture of the adjacent cathedral is a stunning backdrop to the beautiful mature gardens of this early property.    

 

Part of the brief was to design a new dining terrace, retaining the ancient paved surfaces around the house and integrating it seamlessly with the existing garden layout. The flower-beds flowing down each side of the garden to the moat were re-shaped to make the most of the wonderful position and glorious views.
