HILL HOUSE

town garden | oxfordshire

In this restoration project, the gardens had been neglected for a number of years and consisted largely of overgrown areas and dull expanses of grass. The design masterplan was developed and adapted as alterations to the house took place.

The masterplan allowed the staged development of the gardens, defining working areas for composting and storage of waste and materials, and the location of structural planting. Subsequently a detailed design was created for each separate area: croquet lawn, orchard, herb garden, rose garden, vegetable garden and woodland garden.
